Membrane Filters
ANPEL Membrane Filters are disc-format filtration media designed for reliable laboratory sample preparation and filtration workflows. The range offers a practical choice of membrane materials, wettability options, diameters and pore sizes, helping laboratories select suitable filtration media according to sample matrix, solvent compatibility, particle-retention requirements and workflow scale.
Available membrane materials include PES, Nylon, PTFE, PVDF, PP and MCE, with both hydrophobic and hydrophilic PTFE and PVDF options. Depending on the membrane series, products are available in 13 mm, 25 mm and 47 mm disc diameters, with pore sizes from 0.02 μm to 0.45 μm.
Broad Material Selection
PES membranes are suitable for aqueous-phase filtration where high flow rate, high throughput, low protein binding and low extractables are important. Nylon membranes provide a versatile option for aqueous samples and many organic-solvent filtration workflows. Hydrophobic PTFE membranes are suitable for liquid, gas and non-aqueous solvent filtration, while hydrophilic PTFE membranes are designed for aqueous, mixed-solvent and chemically demanding applications.
Hydrophobic PVDF membranes are suitable for gas, steam and high-temperature liquid filtration. Hydrophilic PVDF membranes are a preferred option for low-protein-binding applications, including dilute protein sample filtration. The product range also includes PP and MCE membrane options for applications requiring these membrane materials.
Quality-Focused Manufacturing
ANPEL Membrane Filters are manufactured in a cleanroom environment and undergo quality-control testing, including assessments such as bubble point, background, flow rate and volume throughput. Each box is supplied with tweezers to support convenient and reliable membrane handling.

Choose from multiple membrane materials, hydrophilic or hydrophobic surface properties, disc diameters and pore sizes to match your filtration holder, sample volume and downstream analytical requirements. This flexibility makes the range suitable for routine laboratory filtration, chromatographic sample preparation and solvent filtration workflows.
Selection and Handling Guidance
Select the membrane material according to the sample solvent composition and required wettability, then choose the appropriate pore size and diameter for the filtration objective and sample volume. When using an organic membrane to filter an aqueous solution, pre-wet the membrane with a suitable organic solvent, such as ethanol, and then rinse with clean water before filtration. For two-layer membranes, ensure that the membrane face is placed upward and the backing is placed downward to maintain proper support during use.
Always confirm chemical compatibility under actual operating conditions before use, taking into account solvent composition, temperature, concentration, exposure time and the full sample matrix.
